VATICANO, 17 Nov. 14 / 10:37 am (ACI).- El Papa Francisco alertó durante la homilía en Santa Marta de este lunes sobre los cristianos que quieren estar con Jesús pero a su vez no quieren estar con los pobres y los marginados, dando lugar así a un “microclima eclesiástico” que no tiene nada de “auténticamente eclesial”.

En palabras del Santo Padre, “mirar a Jesús olvidándose de verlo en el pobre que pide ayuda, en el marginado que causa repugnancia es la tentación que la Iglesia vive en toda época, la de cercarse a sí misma dentro de un ‘microclima eclesiástico’”, dijo.

Las palabras del Papa seguían el camino del Evangelio de la liturgia de hoy en la que el ciego de Jericó grita a Jesús. Según Francisco, este ciego representa la “primera clase de personas” del relato del evangelista Lucas.
Se trataba de “un hombre que no contaba nada, pero que tenía ganas de salvación, ganas de ser curado, y que, por lo tanto, grita por encima del muro de la indiferencia que lo circunda hasta que vence su apuesta y logra llamar a la puerta del corazón de Jesús. A este hombre se opone el círculo de los discípulos, que pretenden acallarlo para evitar que moleste y actuando de esta manera, alejan al Señor de una periferia”, dijo el Papa.

“Esta periferia no podía llegar al Señor, porque este círculo –pero con tanta buena voluntad, ¡eh!– cerraba la puerta. Y esto sucede con frecuencia, entre nosotros los creyentes: cuando hemos encontrado al Señor, sin que nosotros nos demos cuenta, se crea este microclima eclesiástico. No sólo los sacerdotes, los obispos, también los fieles: ‘Pero nosotros somos aquellos que están con el Señor. Y de tanto mirar al Señor no vemos las necesidades del Señor: no miramos al Señor que tiene hambre, que tiene sed, que está en prisión, que está en el hospital. Aquel Señor, en el marginado. Y este clima hace tanto mal”.

A continuación, el Papa describió al grupo que se siente elegido “ahora somos elegidos, estamos con el Señor”, los cuales quieren conservar “este pequeño mundo alejando a quien molestara al Señor, incluso los niños”. “Habían olvidado, habían abandonado su primer amor”.

Sobre el mismo tema, el Papa quiso hacer notar que “cuando en la Iglesia los fieles, los ministros, se vuelven un grupo así… no eclesial, sino ‘eclesiástico’, de privilegio de cercanía al Señor, tienen la tentación de olvidar al primer amor, ese amor tan bello que todos nosotros hemos tenido cuando el Señor nos ha llamado, nos ha salvado, nos ha dicho: ‘Pero te quiero tanto’. Ésta es una tentación de los discípulos: olvidar el primer amor, o sea olvidar también a las periferias, donde yo estaba antes, incluso si debo avergonzarme”, dijo el Santo Padre.
En el relato evangélico existe un tercer grupo, “el pueblo simple”, que “alaba a Dios por la curación del ciego”. “Cuántas veces –destacó el Papa– encontramos gente sencilla, tantas viejitas que caminan y va incluso con sacrificio a rezar a un santuario de la Virgen”.

“No piden privilegios, piden sólo la gracia”. Es el “pueblo fiel aquel que sabe seguir al Señor, sin pedir ningún privilegio, capaz de perder tiempo con el Señor y, sobre todo, de no olvidar a la Iglesia marginada de los niños, de los enfermos, de los encarcelados”.

Por último, el Papa exhortó a pedir al Señor la gracia necesaria para que “jamás, jamás, jamás nos alejemos de esta Iglesia”.

“Que jamás entremos en este microclima de los discípulos eclesiásticos, privilegiados, que se alejan de la Iglesia de Dios, que sufre, que pide salvación, que pide fe, que pide la Palabra de Dios. Pidamos la gracia de ser pueblo fiel de Dios, sin pedir al Señor ningún privilegio, que nos aleje del pueblo de Dios”.
