Interviene el moderador: Anthony Pagden, autor de Mundos en guerra, hoy es entrevistado por el Pais y en sus opiniones sobre Al Qaeda , se deja ver el conflicto Israeli, al que los Norteamericanos nunca hicieron alusión. Siempre se han referido a la enemistad del Islam con Occidente. Celebro que Anthony Pagden, haya encontrado en los atentados de Al Qaeda, el apoyo de Occidente a Israel.
Asi dice.. “Pero el motivo principal de enojo para los musulmanes y, por tanto, el máximo atractivo del islam radical, es el Estado de Israel. Hablando claro, los musulmanes odian a Estados Unidos porque Estados Unidos -y, por extensión, todo el mundo occidental no musulmán- está considerado, equivocadamente, un amigo incondicional de Israel. Hasta que se ofrezca alguna solución a ese conflicto, los radicales musulmanes seguirán atacando lo que ellos perciben como Occidente. Creo que, por ejemplo, a quienes colocaron las bombas en Madrid y Londres no les importa en absoluto el destino de los palestinos. Pero la lucha entre Palestina e Israel es un pretexto para dar rienda suelta a sus frustraciones contenidas por sentirse pobres y marginados en una cultura que les es ajena.”
Interviene el primero:Nosotros en nuestra tertulia hemos comentado que la Guerra de Afganistán no terminará hasta que Obama acepte las resoluciones de la condena de la ONU por el terrorismo de Israel contra los palestinos.
Interrumpe el segundo: Anthony Pagden en su entrevista analiza el tema de la guerra de Afganistán, que se convertirá en otro Vietnam,como consecuencia de la política de EE UU. Me gusta que denuncie su arbitrariedades, y no haga propaganda como otros de sus deseos de llevar la democracia a todas las partes del mundo. Los Norteamericanos tiene distintas varas de medir, que Anthony Pagden lo pone muy en evidencia cuando dice..” Para mí, existe un fallo fundamental en el razonamiento que subyace tras gran parte de la política exterior estadounidense (y, por desgracia, incluso en la de su presidente Barack Obama): que mientras un país sea estable e interese a Estados Unidos, su forma de gobierno no constituye un problema. Aunque sea inestable, mientras se encuentre lejos de la costa estadounidense y no suponga una amenaza para sus intereses, puede ser acosado diplomáticamente, pero por lo demás se le deja en paz. No se ha producido una intervención estadounidense en Zimbabue y es poco probable que la haya en Costa de Marfil. Sin embargo, una vez que la inestabilidad de un Estado amenaza a Estados Unidos o sus aliados, la manera de lidiar con ello es «un cambio de régimen», instaurando la democracia por la fuerza, y una vez que se ha logrado (y esto generalmente significa, como ha ocurrido en Afganistán e Irak unas elecciones amañadas) retirarse lo antes posible.
Interviene el tercero: Pagden, analiza también el radicalismo Islámico en los jóvenes, y denuncia en su acercamiento una frustración personal, en el seno de una sociedad occidental opulenta pero no para todos..así dice..” muchos se han visto arrastrados al islam radical, al igual que los jóvenes furiosos y marginados de Europa se vieron atraídos en los años sesenta y setenta por el marxismo, no tanto por su contenido, sobre el que sabían muy poco, al igual que la mayoría de los yihadistas musulmanes parecen conocer muy poco sobre el islam, sino porque ofrecía un medio sencillo y violento para atacar a quienes consideraban por varias razones responsables de sus penurias.
