El Estado Islámico ha invadido Afganistán y ha tomado varios distritos del país, donde hasta 1.600 combatientes habrían prometido lealtad al grupo terrorista , según ‘The Times’. Se cree que su campamento base se encuentra en la provincia de Nangarhar, al este de Afganistán.

El grupo terrorista del Estado Islámico asegura haber tomado cuatro distritos al sur de la ciudad de Jalalabad como parte de su campaña para establecer una nueva provincia para su autodenominado ‘califato’. ‘The Times’ informa que hasta 1.600 combatientes están involucrados en esta oleada, impulsada por un grupo regional yihadista afiliado al EI denominado Wilayat Khorasan.

Fotos publicadas en Twitter por partidarios del grupo muestran el campo de entrenamiento Sheikh Jalaluddin, denominado así por el exmufti de Khorasan. Es muy probable que este campamento se encuentre en la provincia de Nangarhar, al este de Afganistán, según ‘The Long War Journal’.
