En una columna titulada «¿Por qué hasta los ateos deberían rezar por el Papa Francisco?, The Guardian indica que -mientras el afiche con la cara de Obama, prometiendo esperanza y cambio, se está desdibujando- «el nuevo y obvio héroe de la izquierda es el Papa».
