El golpe de Estado de febrero de 2014 en Ucrania fue organizado por los servicios secretos estadounidenses, ha afirmado el diputado del Parlamento Europeo Jean Luc Schaffhauser en una conferencia de prensa en la ciudad francesa de Estrasburgo.

«Es evidente que es necesario recordar los eventos de febrero de 2014. Estaba habiendo un proceso electoral democrático de renovación del país: este fue detenido y se produjo un golpe de Estado. Nos olvidamos de hablar de ello», ha declarado el eurodiputado Jean-Luc Schaffhauser. A su juicio, Occidente intentó legitimarlo pero «por eso no ha dejado de ser un golpe de Estado que preparado y llevado a cabo por las agencias de inteligencia de EE.UU.«, informa RIA Novosti.

Asimismo, el diputado del Parlamento Europeo ha subrayado que en mayo prevé viajar junto con compañeros suyos y representantes de organizaciones humanitarias internacionales a las regiones del este de Ucrania de Donetsk y Lugansk. «El objetivo de nuestra visita es reunir a los diputados europeos y obtener una imagen objetiva de lo que está pasando«, afirmó Schaffhauser, quien destacó que la atención se centrará asimismo en la forma en la que se cumplen los acuerdos de Minsk.

A la conferencia de prensa celebrada en Estrasburgo (Francia) también asistió el diputado de la Rada Suprema de Ucrania Alexánder Goncharenko, quien comenzó a gritar e interferir en el orden de la sala, por lo que tuvo que ser expulsado de la misma por el jefe del servicio de prensa del Parlamento Europeo.
