VATICANO, 08 Mar. 15 / 10:02 am (ACI/EWTN Noticias).- “Un mundo donde las mujeres son marginadas es un mundo estéril”, dijo con fuerza el Papa Francisco esta mañana en el Vaticano.

Con motivo del Día Internacional de la Mujer, que se celebra cada 8 de marzo, el Pontífice envió un cariñoso saludo a  todas las mujeres después de rezar el Ángelus.

“¡Hoy, 8 de marzo, ¡un saludo a todas las mujeres!”, exclamó desde la ventana del Apartamento Papal que mira a la Plaza de San Pedro.

“A todas las mujeres que cada día buscan construir una sociedad más humana y acogedora. Y un agradecimiento fraternal también a aquellas que de mil maneras testimonian el Evangelio y trabajan en la Iglesia”.

El Santo Padre aseguró a continuación que “esta es para nosotros una ocasión para confirmar la importancia y la necesidad de su presencia en la vida”.

“Un mundo donde las mujeres son marginadas es un mundo estéril porque las mujeres no solo llevan la vida sino que nos transmiten la capacidad de ver más allá, nos transmiten la capacidad de entender el mundo con ojos distintos, de escuchar las cosas con un corazón más creativo, más paciente, más tierno”, dijo.

El Papa concluyó sus palabras ofreciendo “una oración y una bendición particular para todas las mujeres aquí presentes en la plaza y para todas las mujeres”.

On the occasion of the international women’s day, which is celebrated each year on March 8, the Pontiff sent affectionate greetings to all women after praying the Angelus.

«Today, 8 March, a greeting to all women!», exclaimed from the window of the Papal apartment overlooking St. Peter’s square. «!»

«To all the women who daily seek to build a more humane and welcoming society. And a fraternal gratitude also to those which, in a thousand ways, bear witness to the Gospel and work in the Church.»

The Holy Father then said that «this is for us an occasion to confirm the importance and the need for its presence in life».

«A world where women are marginalized is a sterile world because women carry not only life but give us the ability to see beyond, we convey the ability to understand the world through eyes other than hearing the things with a more creative, more patient, more tender heart», he said.

The Pope concluded his words by offering «a prayer and a particular blessing to all the women present in the plaza and for all women».
