Este lunes, 30 de noviembre, la direcci\u00f3n del FMI<\/a>\u00a0ha anunciado<\/a>\u00a0que el yuan se convertir\u00e1 en el quinto miembro de su cesta de monedas de derechos especiales de giro (SDR) y se unir\u00e1 al d\u00f3lar estadounidense, el yen japon\u00e9s, la libra esterlina y el euro. Esta la decisi\u00f3n entrar\u00e1 en vigor el 1 de octubre de 2016.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abLa decisi\u00f3n de incluir el yuan en la cesta de divisas de reserva es un logro importante a la hora de integrar a la econom\u00eda china en el sistema financiero global\u00bb, ha afirmado la directora del FMI, Christine Lagarde.\u00a0Seg\u00fan Lagarde, este paso supone la admisi\u00f3n del progreso que ha logrado China en los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, tras reformar sus sistemas financiero y de divisas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Asimismo, la m\u00e1xima mandataria del FMI ha valorado que el seguimiento y la profundizaci\u00f3n de estos esfuerzos crear\u00e1 un sistema internacional financiero y de divisas m\u00e1s estable y apoyar\u00e1 el crecimiento y estabilidad de las econom\u00edas de China y del resto del mundo.<\/span><\/p>\n

El FMI ha estimado que la moneda china es una divisa de uso libre que posee todos los requisitos necesarios para ser admitida en la cesta de divisas. El hecho de que la decisi\u00f3n entre en vigor dentro de 11 meses ofrecer\u00e1 \u00abel tiempo necesario para que todas las partes se adapten a los nuevos cambios\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n
