El l\u00edder de los cristianos asediados en Siria, el patriarca ortodoxo Ignacio Aphrem II Karim, ha emitido una s\u00faplica sincera a Occidente para que \u00abdeje de armar y apoyar a los grupos terroristas\u00bb que destruyen su pa\u00eds y \u00abmasacran\u00bb a su pueblo. Adem\u00e1s, afirma que la mayor\u00eda de ciudadanos sirios apoyan el Gobierno de Bashar al-Asad: \u00abReconocemos los gobernantes leg\u00edtimos y oramos por ellos\u00bb.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

En una entrevista con Vatican Insider<\/a>, el patriarca ortodoxo sirio, Ignacio Aphrem II Karim, ha suplicado a Occidente \u00abdeje de armar a grupos terroristas que est\u00e1n masacrando a nuestro pueblo\u00bb, sugiriendo que \u00absi Occidente quiere hacer algo con la crisis actual, lo m\u00e1s eficaz ser\u00eda apoyar a los gobiernos locales, que necesitan ej\u00e9rcitos y fuerzas suficientes para mantener la seguridad y la defensa de poblaciones contra los ataques\u00bb.<\/span><\/p>\n

En cuanto a los grupos terroristas, afirma que \u00aben los \u00faltimos a\u00f1os, han estado basando sus acciones en una ideolog\u00eda que viene desde afuera, tra\u00eddos aqu\u00ed por predicadores del odio respaldados por Arabia Saudita, Qatar y Egipto\u00bb, dijo.
