John Short, experto en geograf\u00eda, medioambiente y globalizaci\u00f3n de la Universidad de Bristol, en el Reino Unido, ha dicho este mi\u00e9rcoles que la migraci\u00f3n de personas provocada por el cambio clim\u00e1tico ya ha comenzado, y ha afirmado que el mundo no est\u00e1 preparado para afrontar los efectos del calentamiento global.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abLa migraci\u00f3n de personas por el cambio clim\u00e1tico ya ha empezado. En Banglad\u00e9s, por ejemplo, existen refugiados del cambio clim\u00e1tico que han abandonado sus hogares en lugares rurales debido a que ya no pueden coexistir con un entorno clim\u00e1tico tan agresivo\u00bb, cita el peri\u00f3dico ‘El Universal<\/a>‘ al cient\u00edfico, entrevistado por la agencia EFE<\/span><\/p>\n

El profesor ha se\u00f1alado que en el futuro m\u00e1s cercano los cambios en el medioambiente \u00abse convertir\u00e1n en la nueva normalidad para los seres en el planeta\u00bb. Short tambi\u00e9n ha se\u00f1alado que esta \u00abnueva normalidad\u00bb provocar\u00e1 la salida masiva de la poblaci\u00f3n de las zonas rurales hacia grandes ciudades, que ser\u00e1n consideradas como un lugar m\u00e1s adecuado para la supervivencia.<\/span><\/p>\n

No obstante, el profesor advierte que \u00abninguna ciudad est\u00e1 preparada para una migraci\u00f3n imprevista como puede ser la que genera el cambio clim\u00e1tico\u00bb, a\u00f1adiendo que la adaptaci\u00f3n de los migrantes en el ambiente urbano ser\u00e1 complicada por sus pobres recursos econ\u00f3micos. \u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
