Los nacionalismos y nuevos partidos pol\u00edticos que surgen en Europa se deben a que el actual proyecto de integraci\u00f3n se basa en el capital financiero y no en el bienestar de los propios ciudadanos, dijo a RT Luis Fernando Medina, profesor e investigador de la Universidad Carlos III de Madrid y miembro de la Fundaci\u00f3n Alternativas. <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

El proceso de integraci\u00f3n europea como lo conoc\u00edamos desde los tiempos de la postguerra se basaba sobre la democracia, pero despu\u00e9s empez\u00f3 a transitar m\u00e1s hacia un proceso de integraci\u00f3n basado en la financiaci\u00f3n y la liberalizaci\u00f3n<\/strong>\u00ab, coment\u00f3 Medina en el marco del debate en ‘Tema abierto’<\/a>\u00a0sobre el futuro que preparan los nuevos movimientos europeos para los ciudadanos.<\/span><\/p>\n

Seg\u00fan el investigador, en el actual proceso de integraci\u00f3n europea basado en el euro, los riesgos se transmiten a los ciudadanos<\/strong>, y este efecto, por su parte, origin\u00f3 nuevas realidades en el escenario pol\u00edtico tomando desprevenidos a los partidos pol\u00edticos tradicionales que no tuvieron capacidad de reacci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

Para Medina, uno de los problemas cruciales<\/strong> de la incertidumbre por la que atraviesa la eurozona es que su actual integraci\u00f3n se basa en el capital financiero<\/strong> y nunca se busc\u00f3 crear un espacio pol\u00edtico com\u00fan o mecanismos de solidaridad entre los ciudadanos europeos.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abEstos factores est\u00e1n fracturando a Europa, y tiene que preguntarse qu\u00e9 rumbo va a tomar, el actual rumbo lleva hacia mayores resquebrajamientos y fracturas. Europa tiene que preguntarse qu\u00e9 clase de Europa quiere ser<\/strong>, una que protege a los ciudadanos, que ofrece garant\u00edas pol\u00edticas y econ\u00f3micas o una que est\u00e1 a merced de los flujos financieros y la liberalizaci\u00f3n bancaria\u00bb, finaliz\u00f3 el profesor<\/span><\/p>\n
