Se trata de una enorme ara\u00f1a hasta ahora desconocida para la ciencia <\/strong>denominada en realidad Trogloraptor<\/strong> (\u00abladr\u00f3n de cuevas\u00bb) y que tiene unas garras largas y espectaculares.<\/strong> Los investigadores consideran que, evolutivamente, la ara\u00f1a es muy especial, ya que representa no solo un nuevo g\u00e9nero y especie, sino tambi\u00e9n una nueva familia <\/strong>(Trogloraptoridae). El hallazgo aparece publicado en la revista Zookeys.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Las Trogloraptor se sostienen en telara\u00f1as rudimentarias que cuelgan de los techos de la cueva.<\/strong> Tiene unos cuatro cent\u00edmetros de ancho<\/strong> cuando sus patas est\u00e1n extendidas. Sus extraordinarias garras sugieren que son feroces depredadores <\/strong>especializados, aunque sus presas y el comportamiento de ataque siguen siendo desconocidos.<\/span><\/p>\n

This is a<\/strong> huge spider hitherto unknown to science actually called Trogloraptor (\u00abthief of<\/strong> caves\u00bb) and has long claws and spectacular. The researchers believe that, evolutionarily, the spider is very special because it represents not only a new genus and species, but also a new family (Trogloraptoridae). The finding is published in the journal ZooKeys.<\/span><\/p>\n
