The moving testimony of a man who thanks Padre Pio for curing him of cancer<\/span><\/p>\n

DENVER, 23 Sep. 17 \/ 04:49 pm (ACI) .- Padre Pio has performed several miracles during his life and also after his death. For Anthony Fuina, an American father, one of these cases was the cure of colon cancer that he suffered from.<\/span><\/p>\n

In 1997, Anthony was detected with a large tumor in his colon and doctors told him that they had to remove it in parts. One day while he was waiting for the results of the first operation, they called him on the phone, but it was not the hospital but his real estate agent who asked him to bring her the keys to his house to show it to the clients.<\/span>
\n.<\/span>
\nHe agreed and while he was driving down the street, a stranger approached his car and asked him to take him to a certain street. Anthony had never done this, but for a strange reason he felt linked to this stranger.<\/span>
\n.<\/span><\/p>\n

The man thanked him for his gesture and pointed out that he saw him worried about an illness. Anthony was surprised and told her the story of the cancer he suffered from and told her that he was looking forward to the results of the first operation.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cThe presence of this man at my side filled me with a feeling of peace and calm. He asked me if he could place his hand where he had operated on me and if he could pray for me. He then began to pray in another language. The sensation that he took over my body was incredibly intense and miraculous, I felt the hairs on my skin stand on end. The electricity piercing my body through his hand was incredible. I screamed, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe this, I can’t wait to tell my wife,'\u00bb Anthony recounted in his testimony.<\/span><\/p>\n

When he finished praying, the stranger told him: \u201cYou are cured! You have been healed by the Holy Spirit who has entered into you!\u201d Anthony was stunned and asked, \u201cWho are you?\u201d The man responded that he was a servant of God.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Upon arriving at his destination, the stranger told him again that he was cured and asked him to go to healing masses whenever he could to pray for those in need. Anthony thanked him for his prayer and they said goodbye.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The man walked away and when Anthony turned around he had disappeared. He wondered, \u201cWhere could that man I felt so attached to have gone?\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

When the doctor revealed the results to him, he told him that there was no danger regarding the tumor because it was benign and that they would operate again to remove what was left. However, in the second surgery, the doctors were surprised because there was no trace of the tumor.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Anthony and his family were happy. But in 2000, during one of his medical check-ups, they gave him bad news: the cancer had returned, it was very advanced and the treatment was very risky.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One day his daughter Stacey went to his house and gave him a religious image. Looking at her, Anthony was surprised.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI said, \u2018Where did you get this photograph? You must tell me! Is he! This is the man I picked up off the street, who blessed me, he prayed for me and told me that he was healthy, three years ago! My daughter responded: ‘Dad, this man is dead.’ I said it was impossible and I insisted: ‘This is the man who sat next to me in my car,'\u00bb Anthony said.<\/span><\/p>\n

His daughter then told him that she had gone to pray for him at church and some friends of her family gave her the image of Padre Pio and told her that Anthony should hold on to it in those difficult times.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe both cried and she told me to find out more about Padre Pio. I found my friend who I had picked up from the street three years ago! Yeah! It was Padre Pio! \u201cHe was there to help me and now he is here to do it again,\u201d Anthony said.<\/span><\/p>\n

While he was receiving chemotherapy, all of his friends prayed for his recovery. Even his daughter told the story of the stranger and the car to the family who had given her the picture and they invited them to his house to pray with a cross and a medal of Padre Pio.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

That day, while praying, Anthony once again experienced the sensation that he had three years ago and prayed intensely to Padre Pio to destroy the cancer cells that he had in his body.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He repeated that same prayer during each chemotherapy until one day the doctors decided to do an endoscopy to see if the cancer had disappeared.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abWhen I woke up I saw my wife crying and I thought ‘God this isn’t bad news.’ The doctor, who was happy and had a puzzled face, gave me the great news: ‘She’s gone! Your cancer is gone! You\u2019re a lucky man,\u2019\u201d Anthony recalled.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The American assures that \u201cmy priest is Padre Pio. He has changed our lives forever\u201d and he recounted that he calls him \u201cmy Father.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

In 2002, Anthony and his wife Barbara were present at the ca<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Anthony has also created the Padre Pio Miracle Foundation to help children with cancer.<\/span>
