Here are 5 facts, according to tradition, that perhaps you did not know about Padre Pio and the angels.<\/span><\/p>\n

1.- He believed that everyone could see him<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Work of the Holy Angels, a Catholic association that propagates this devotion and with its own statutes approved by the Holy See, it is said that Father Pio when he was very young began to have visions of his guardian angel, Jesus and Mary. His mother even said that he thought everyone could see them.<\/span><\/p>\n

2.- Together against the devil<\/span><\/p>\n

Sometimes, the demon stained the letters that came to him from his confessor with blots, and following the advice of his guardian angel, when a letter arrived, before opening it, the holy friar sprinkled it with holy water so that he could read it.<\/span><\/p>\n

However, one time Padre Pio was being beaten by the devil and called out loud to his guardian angel several times, but it was useless. Later, when the angel appeared to console him, Padre Pio angrily asked him why he had not come to his aid. The angel answered: \u201cJesus allows these attacks by the devil because his compassion makes you pleasing to Him and He would like you to be like Him in the desert, in the garden and on the cross\u201d (Letter I, 113).<\/span><\/p>\n

3.- He translated the letters<\/span>
\nIf he received a letter written in French, the guardian angel acted as translator for him. Padre Pio once wrote: \u201cif the mission of our Guardian Angel is important, that of mine is certainly broader, because he must also act as a teacher in the translation of other languages\u201d (Letter I,304).<\/span>
\n4.- I woke him up and prayed with him<\/span><\/p>\n

The Holy Capuchin friar narrated: \u201cAt night, when my eyes close, I see the veil lower and paradise open before me; and, comforted by this vision, I sleep with a smile of sweet happiness on my lips and with great tranquility on my forehead, waiting for my little companion from my childhood to come to wake me up and, in this way, raise the morning prayers together. to the beloved of our hearts\u201d (Letter I,308),<\/span><\/p>\n

5.- He spoke with other guardian angels<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cIf you need me,\u201d the Saint repeated to his spiritual children, \u201csend me your guardian angel.\u201d One day Br. Alessio Parente (Capuchin Minor Friar) approached Padre Pio with some letters in his hand to ask him some questions and the priest could not attend to him.<\/span><\/p>\n

Later the priest of the stigmata called him and said: \u201cHave you not seen all those Angels who were here around me? They were the Guardian Angels of my spiritual children who came to bring me their messages. I had to give them the answers quickly.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The venerated Padre Pio of Pietrelcina always recognized and appreciated the role of \u201cmessenger\u201d of the Guardian Angel and therefore recommended his devotion.<\/span>
