\nJesus Christ was aware that his message of the Kingdom of Heaven could only reach people if he did some extraordinary things. Well, he not only healed the leprosy patients and restored sight to the blind, but he raised the dead, walked through the waters from the lake and stopped the strong winds and cursed a fig tree so that it would not bear more fruit<\/span><\/p>\n

\nAt that time, as Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem, he was passing through the borders between Samaria and Galilee, and as he entered a town, ten men with lepers met him, who stood at a distance and, raising their voices, said: Jesus, Master, have compassion on us! \n\u00a0Jesus said: Take away the stone. Marta, the sister of the one who had died, said to him: Lord, it stinks already, because it is four days old.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Jesus said to him, Have I not told you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?<\/span>
\n\u00a0Then they removed the stone from where the dead man had been laid. And Jesus, raising his eyes on high, said: Father, I thank you for having heard me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0I knew you always hear me; but I said it because of the crowd that is around, so that they may believe that you have sent me.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0And he that had died came out, his hands and feet bound with bandages, and his face wrapped in a cloth. Jesus said to them: Untie him, and let him go.<\/span>

\n\u00a0Immediately Jesus made the disciples get into the boat and go ahead of him to the other side while he dismissed the crowd. 23 After dismissing the people, he went up the mountain to pray alone. At nightfall, he was there alone, 24 and the boat was already quite far from land, buffeted by the waves, because the wind was against it.<\/span><\/p>\n

25 Early in the morning, Jesus came to them walking on the lake. 26 When the disciples saw him walking on the water, they were terrified.<\/span><\/p>\n

Peter got out of the boat and walked on the water toward Jesus. 30 But when he felt the strong wind, he was afraid and began to sink. Then he yelled:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0Immediately Jesus stretched out his hand and seized him and rebuked him:<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abMan of little faith!\u00bb Why did you hesitate?<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0When they got into the boat, the wind died down.<\/span>
