Saint Faustina Kowalska received several apparitions of the Divine Mercy of God and allowed her to see purgatory, hell and heaven with a message for all people.<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Purgatory<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

     <\/p>\n

    One night, says the saint, hers Guardian Angel asked her to follow him, and she suddenly found herself in a place full of fire and suffering souls. They were praying fervently for themselves, \u00abbut it was not valid, only we can help them,\u00bb said Saint Faustina.<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    She asked the souls what made them suffer the most and they answered that it was feeling abandoned by God. Later, she saw the Virgin Mary visiting the souls in purgatory, who called her \u00abStar of the Sea.\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

     <\/p>\n

    Finally, hers Guardian Angel asked him to return. Upon leaving that prison of suffering, she heard the voice of the Lord who told her: \u00abMy Mercy does not want this, but my Justice asks for it.\u00bb<\/span><\/p>\n

    1. Hell<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

       <\/p>\n

      In an eight-day retreat that Saint Faustina Kowalska lived, in October 1936, she saw the abyss of hell with several of its torments. Then she wrote what she was allowed to see at the request of Christ Himsel<\/span><\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      \u201cI was led by an Angel to the abyss of hell. It is a place of great torment. How terribly large and extensive it is! The kinds of torture I saw: The first is the privation of God; the second is the perpetual remorse of conscience; the third is that one’s condition will never change; the fourth is the fire that penetrates the soul without destroying it \u2013a terrible suffering, since it is purely spiritual fire\u2013, ignited by the wrath of God \u201d, described the saint.<\/span><\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      She also pointed out that the fifth torture is a continuous darkness with a terrible suffocating smell and that despite the darkness, the souls of the damned see each other.<\/span><\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      \u201cThe sixth is the constant company of Satan; the seventh is horrible anguish, hatred of God, indecent words and blasphemy. These are the torments suffered by the damned, but it is not the end of the sufferings. There are special torments intended for particular souls. These are the torments of the senses. Each soul goes through terrible and indescribable sufferings, related to the type of sin it has committed.<\/span><\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

       <\/p>\n

      On the other hand, he indicated that there are caverns and torture pits where each form of agony differs from the other. \u201cI would have died at every sight of the torture – explained Saint Faustina – if the Omnipotence of God had not sustained me. I am writing this by order of God, so that no soul can find an excuse saying that hell does not exist, or that no one has been there and therefore no one can describe it.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

      1. Heaven<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

         <\/p>\n

        On November 27, 1936, the saint wrote a vision of heaven, in which she could see its incomparable beauties, the happiness that awaits us after death and how all creatures praise and give thanks to God without ceasing.<\/span><\/p>\n

         <\/p>\n

        He indicated that this source of happiness is invariable in its essence, but it is always new, spilling happiness for all creatures. \u201cGod has made me understand that there is something of infinite value in his eyes, and that is, the love of God; love, love and love again, and nothing can be compared to a single act of love for God \u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

         <\/p>\n

        In the same way, he said that \u201cGod in his great majesty is worshiped by the heavenly spirits, according to their degrees of graces and hierarchies in which they are divided, he did not cause me fear or fright; my soul was full of peace and love; and the more I know the greatness of God, the more I am glad that He is who He is.<\/span><\/p>\n

        \u00abI rejoice immensely in his greatness and I am glad that I am so small, since being so small, He carries me in his arms and holds me to his heart\u00bb, stressed Saint Faustina Kowalska<\/span><\/p>\n
