La primera era si Ansar Beit al-Maqdis debe unirse a una red global o continuar operando de manera independiente. Y la segunda era la posibilidad de elegir entre si unirse a Al Qaeda o al EI. The Egyptian extremist group Ansar Beit al – Maqdis, that has joined the crusade of the Islamic State in November, emerged after the revolt of 2011 that overthrew the Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak. In recent months, the Group has launched attacks against police forces in Egypt and has claimed responsibility for suicide the authorship of a series of attacks against military installations in Cairo and the Sinai peninsula, writes ‘Foreign Affairs’.<\/span><\/p>\n

The announcement comes weeks after the Egyptian President, Abel Fattah al – Sisi, declared a State of emergency in the Sinai peninsula and launched a bloody attack on the group, which required an evacuation of some 10,000 people in the town of Rafah. Ansar Beit Al-Maqdis and the EI are natural partners: not only share its radical ideology, but also their sanginarios methods. Last August Ansar Beit al – Maqdis beheaded four men in the North of the Sinai after accusing them of being informers for Israel.<\/span><\/p>\n
