\nEl estudio ayuda a explicar la misteriosa y fatal enfermedad renal cr\u00f3nica de origen desconocido (llamada ‘CKDu’) que se ha detectado en las regiones de arrozales del norte de Sri Lanka o en pa\u00edses de Centroam\u00e9rica. En El Salvador, por ejemplo, el CKDu es la segunda causa de muerte entre los hombres. En la actualidad el CKDu afecta al 15% de las personas que trabajan en los cultivos<\/span><\/a> de Sri Lanka, en concreto el estudio habla de unos 400.000 pacientes, asegurando que al menos 20.000 personas han muerto en la isla asi\u00e1tica a causa de este mal. <\/strong><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\nLos investigadores, bas\u00e1ndose en datos de mercado y otros estudios cient\u00edficos, se\u00f1alan que dicha enfermedad est\u00e1 relacionada con un compuesto qu\u00edmico que fue introducido al mercado entre los \u00faltimos 20 y 30 a\u00f1os; es capaz de formar complejos estables con agua dura; es capaz de retener metales nefrot\u00f3xicos que afectan a los ri\u00f1ones; es capaz de afectar por m\u00faltiples v\u00edas tales como la ingesti\u00f3n, a trav\u00e9s de la piel o absorci\u00f3n respiratoria. <\/strong>As\u00ed, entre otros criterios, todos los puntos que detallan apuntan al glifosato como el principal causante del CKDu. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

A team of researchers found in a recent study, published in the International Journal of Environmental Research and Public Health’ (‘International Journal of research of the environment and public health’), Roundup, or glyphosate becomes highly toxic to the kidney when mixed with hard water, metals such as arsenic and cadmium – that often exist in the soil in a way natural or when added to other fertilizers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The study helps to explain mysterious and fatal chronic kidney disease of unknown origin (called ‘CKDu’) has been detected in the rice paddies of Northern Sri Lanka regions or in countries in Central America. In El Salvador, for example, the CKDu is the second leading cause of death among men.Currently the CKDu affects 15% of persons working in the crops of Sri Lanka, in particular the study speaks of about 400,000 patients, ensuring that at least 20,000 people have died in the Asian island because of this evil.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
