\u00abHablamos de desabejamiento cuando la colmena queda despoblada y se muere<\/span><\/strong>. Aqu\u00ed ha habido a\u00f1os con un 80% de despoblaci\u00f3n, o sea que de cada 100 colmenas mueren 80. Es algo muy, muy grave\u00bb. El fen\u00f3meno es conocido tambi\u00e9n como S\u00edndrome del Despoblamiento de las Colmenas (CCD en ingl\u00e9s).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abLas abejas desaparecen y la reina deja de poner huevos<\/span><\/strong> para hacer nuevas colonias y entonces llega un momento en que se muere la colmena. No sabemos si las abejas se van o si se mueren cerca. No sabemos qu\u00e9 ocurre, por eso surgi\u00f3 la idea de los microchips para ver si damos con alg\u00fan remedio\u00bb, se\u00f1al\u00f3 Fern\u00e1ndez a BBC Mundo.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Los diminutos chips se pegan al t\u00f3rax de las abejas<\/span><\/strong>. Cada vez que estas pasan por la piqueta, como se denomina a la entrada de la colmena, un lector de microchips registra datos que se suben a diario a un ordenador<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abEn la entrada de las colmenas se colocan unos lectores y<\/strong> un concentrador, de manera que cada vez que las abejas salen o entran de la colmena quedan registrados sus movimientos. La colocaci\u00f3n de chips no es complicada, si bien es muy meticulosa y requiere adormecer a las abejas levemente para poder manipularlas\u00bb.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
