Seg\u00fan un estudio m\u00e9dico, publicado esta semana en el \u2018Journal of the American Medical Association\u2019, los pacientes con seguro privado, que han tenido complicaciones tras una cirug\u00eda, proporcionan a los hospitales un margen de beneficio un 330% superior al de aquellos cuyas cirug\u00edas se desarrollaron sin problemas.<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00abHasta ahora se sab\u00eda que los hospitales no son recompensados por la calidad\u00bb, asegura el autor del estudio y profesor de la Escuela de Harvard de Salud P\u00fablica<\/a>,\u00a0Atul Gawande, a\u00f1adiendo.\u00a0\u00a0\u00abPero lo que no se sab\u00eda exactamente era la cantidad de dinero extra que ganan cuando el da\u00f1o ya est\u00e1 hecho<\/strong>\u00ab, a\u00f1adi\u00f3.<\/span><\/p>\n

Para realizar el estudio los investigadores analizaron los datos de 34.256 pacientes quir\u00fargicos dados<\/strong> de alta en 2010 por 12 hospitales del sur de Estados Unidos. De entre ellos se registraron un total de 1.820 casos con al menos una complicaci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to a medical study, published this week in the Journal of the American Medical Association, patients with private insurance, that have had complications after surgery, hospitals provide a profit margin of a 330% higher than those whose surgery developed is without problems.<\/span><\/p>\n
