Vamos a la tertulia del \u00a0University \u00a0College<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

El moderador interviene:<\/strong> Desde los noventa, hasta hace poco, hemos asistido a un \u00abdebate\u00bb mundial sin precedentes sobre la cuesti\u00f3n del Cambio Clim\u00e1tico, que se ha llegado a colocar en estos \u00faltimos a\u00f1os como el principal problema de la Humanidad de cara al futuro. Nunca el Capitalismo Global hab\u00eda dedicado tama\u00f1a atenci\u00f3n a un problema ambiental, cuando en general los hab\u00eda minusvalorado, o en todo caso \u00ababordado\u00bb dentro de su l\u00f3gica, debido a la dimensi\u00f3n de ciertos impactos y a la presi\u00f3n social e institucional suscitada. Llama la atenci\u00f3n la tremenda atenci\u00f3n internacional (NNUU), estatal, cient\u00edfica, empresarial y social que ha despertado esta cuesti\u00f3n activada como ninguna otra por los mass media, o por una gran parte de ellos. Sin el concurso de los medios de comunicaci\u00f3n de masas, y sin el apoyo de muy importantes sectores de los poderes globales ligados a ellos, este tema no habr\u00eda adquirido nunca la dimensi\u00f3n que ha tomado. No hace falta m\u00e1s que ver la atenci\u00f3n que se dedica en los medios e instituciones a la Crisis Energ\u00e9tica o a la Crisis Ecol\u00f3gica, en general las grandes olvidadas. Ahora que parece que se agota un poco este gran tema en la escena internacional, tras el fracaso de las cumbres de Copenhague y Canc\u00fan<\/strong> (aunque \u00e9sta se haya intentado vender como un \u00ab\u00e9xito\u00bb), y que se asienta paulatinamente la niebla que ocultaba ciertos intereses no directamente confesados relacionados con el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cUna Verdad Inc\u00f3moda\u201d de Al Gore consigue un Oscar, y hasta a la academia sueca de los Premios Nobel (que recaen tambi\u00e9n sobre Al Gore y el presidente del IPCC).<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

El alcance medi\u00e1tico y social de su mensaje fue innegable, poniendo el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico en el frontispicio de las preocupaciones mundiales. En ese contexto, se convocan \u201cd\u00edas de acci\u00f3n global contra el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico\u201d (apagones ciudadanos y de los principales edificios y monumentos mundiales), con un apoyo institucional y medi\u00e1tico sin precedentes, a trav\u00e9s de la Alianza para la Protecci\u00f3n del Clima, en la que participan activamente Al Gore y WWF.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La gran impulsora institucional del Protocolo de Kyoto es la UE. Sin ella, su aprobaci\u00f3n hubiera sido sencillamente inviable. Seguramente una de las razones principales de este protagonismo es la alta dependencia externa de la UE respecto de los combustibles f\u00f3siles, y la necesidad forzosa de reducir su consumo.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Copenhague es el final de un camino de participaci\u00f3n de la \u201cSociedad Civil\u201d que empieza en 1992 .<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Los desacuerdos de la cumbre de Copenhaghe con la sociedad civi<\/strong>l obliga a la direcci\u00f3n de la misma a expulsar a la gran mayor\u00eda de sus representantes, muchos de los cuales confluyen en el exterior con una muy amplia movilizaci\u00f3n unitaria de los grupos que cuestionaban todo el marco de la cumbre y sus contenidos (Climate Justice Now y sectores aut\u00f3nomos). Es decir, que planteaban abiertamente que no es posible enfrentar el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico, sin cuestionar el funcionamiento del Capitalismo Global (\u00a1System Change, not Climate Change<\/em>!)..\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

En Canc\u00fan se logra una falsa e insustancial \u201cunanimidad\u201d en el \u00faltimo minuto<\/strong> .En EEUU, donde el auge de la extrema derecha nacionalista y reaccionaria del Tea Party ha hecho bascular a\u00fan m\u00e1s la opini\u00f3n anti-Kyoto de los republicanos, aparte de que Obama ha perdido la mayor\u00eda de una de las c\u00e1maras, haciendo a\u00fan m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil cualquier progreso en este sentido. Y es por todo ello por lo que la cita de Canc\u00fan no logra atraer a casi ning\u00fan jefe de Estado de relevancia. Al contrario que Copenhague. Evo Morales es pr\u00e1cticamente el \u00fanico que aparece por Canc\u00fan.<\/span><\/p>\n

Por otro lado, \u00bfa quien le va a interesar el incremento de la temperatura y la subida del nivel del mar en el 2050, cuando se queda sin trabajo,no puede llegar a fin de mes, est\u00e1 endeudado hasta las cejas, le desahucian del piso, le quitan la protecci\u00f3n social, le reducen dr\u00e1sticamente las pensiones, se dispara el coste de la vida, le encarecen y disminuyen los servicios p\u00fablicos?..<\/span><\/p>\n

Como dice el refr\u00e1n: no hay mal que por bien no venga. El agotamiento de la \u201clucha\u201d contra el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico y el fracaso de las \u201csoluciones\u201d institucionales para abordarla, pueden ayudar a abrir como hemos dicho nuevos escenarios que para nada ser\u00e1n f\u00e1ciles, pero que aportar\u00e1n quiz\u00e1s otro aire fresco de cara al futuro.<\/span><\/p>\n

El Movimiento por la Justicia Clim\u00e1tica Global ha incorporado a nuevos y activos actores como V\u00eda Campesina, que plantea que son los mundos campesinos e ind\u00edgenas tradicionales (todav\u00eda unos 2000 millones de personas a escala global) los que verdaderamente enfr\u00edan el Planeta, por su bajo consumo energ\u00e9tico y car\u00e1cter no industrializado.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

La \u00fanica forma de hacer frente al Cambio Clim\u00e1tico en marcha es transformar de<\/span><\/p>\n

ra\u00edz un sistema urbano-agro-industrial mundial totalmente injusto y depredador (System Change,not Climate Change<\/em>, como se dec\u00eda en las calles de Copenhague) y esto probablemente no se logre sin un fuerte y complejo impulso transformador de las formas de vida y producci\u00f3n, mediante su relocalizaci\u00f3n y desmercantilizaci\u00f3n, desde abajo y al margen y en contra de las estructuras de poder existentes, aunque lidiando e influyendo sobre ellas en la medida de lo posible .No temamos pues romper con las din\u00e1micas impuestas por las CMNUCC ( La Convenci\u00f3n Marco de las Naciones Unidas sobre el Cambio Clim\u00e1tico) para poder caminar hacia Otros Mundos Posibles. Es m\u00e1s, celebremos y precipitemos su fracaso, y en todo caso impulsemos su transformaci\u00f3n profunda. Su modificaci\u00f3n total.<\/span><\/p>\n
